Welcome Address

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 15th International Congress of the International Federation of Infection Control (IFIC) and the XIII National Conference of the Hospital Infection Society – India (HISICON), scheduled for 22 – 24 March 2015 at New Delhi, India.

This international and national conference is being jointly organized by our professional organizations and shall bring together the leading scientific and technical experts working towards infection prevention and control.

The conference shall showcase advances and good practices in infection prevention and control. We are sure that this event will provide a unique opportunity for everyone involved to learn about the latest developments in this rapidly expanding and changing field. It will be a unique platform to foster knowledge sharing and exchange experiences for the prevention of healthcare-associated infection and the control of antimicrobial resistance among countries around the world.

Over the past few years, major companies in the fields of diagnostics and biomedical products have focused their attention on the prevention of healthcare-associated prevention and the control of antimicrobial resistance. The conference shall also offer a unique opportunity to liaise with the industry and assess the latest innovations to assist with infection prevention and control strategies along with providing invaluable networking opportunities with your peers. While we do not allow industry to influence the programme content, we do acknowledge their scientific contributions and the fact that our conference would not be possible without the generous support of industry.

The conference shall also provide a unique opportunity to experience Indian cultural heritage and traditional cuisine. Some of you may also like to extend your stay to visit one of seven wonders of the world– the Taj Mahal in Agra.

We look forward to welcoming you to India and seek your participation in making this a grand success.
